In Quebec, music education is offered in a context of school integration the primary and secondary levels. This article paints a portrait of the situation by detailing the paradigm of inclusive education and modality of integration. The integration of students with social or learning disabilities (special needs) into regular classrooms defines music education according to the vision of the Ministry of Education, Recreation and Sports (MELS) and exposes elements that highlight a strong need for exploration of the many facets of music education within the context of integration in Quebec.
