Simrock's original 19th-century parts are still in wide circulation, but their poor layout and notation practices make them difficult to use. Because of this, Bärenreiter's beautifully presented new performing editions of Dvorak's String Quartet, Op. 2; Piano Trio, Op. 26; Piano Quartet, Op. 87; and String Quintet, Op. 97, are most welcome.
