About

Established in 1987, it was originally called the Journal of British Music Therapy and it was a joint publication of the British Society for Music Therapy (BSMT) and the Association of Professional Music Therapists (APMT). Since 2011, the BJMT has been published by the British Association for Music Therapy (BAMT; a single organisation that replaced the APMT and the BSMT). Throughout its existence, the BJMT has been published bi-annually in paper format.
