American Music Review is a biannual publication by the H. Wiley Hitchcock Institute for Studies in American Music at Brooklyn College, City University of New York. A division of the college's Conservatory of Music, the Hitchcock Institute, originally known as the Institute for Studies in American Music (ISAM), was established in 1971 by preeminent musicologist, American music scholar (and later distinguished professor) H. Wiley Hitchcock, its first director. It is an internationally recognized center for the study and presentation of American music.
